About Us

Bicester Avenue started life back in 1976 as a tiny nursery with a small garden centre and landscaping business. It was purchased by Blooms Of Bressingham in early 2000 who significantly expanded the garden centre.

In 2005 work started on a major redesign to develop the site into one of the UK's largest garden centres. After nearly 2 years of construction Bicester Avenue Garden Centre reopened as part of Bicester Avenue, a new concept 'Home and Garden Centre' that has since become a massive success story, attracting literally millions of customers and winning two prestigious retail industry awards.

Retail Interiors Awards 2008 - Winner "Our winning store represents a radical departure from the norms associated with retailing in its sector. With a strong focus on the leisure, intended to prolong dwell times, this is a spacious and open retail interior". Retail Interiors Awards judges.
Retail Week Awards 2008 - Winner "They have established a new shopping format, attracting 10,000 customers on their opening weekend. This retailer has delivered a customer journey full of surprises and experiences". Retail Week Awards judges.

Since opening in 2007 Bicester Avenue has been met with a hugely positive reception from the local community. To repay some of this positive reception Bicester Avenue is constantly looking for ways to help the local area in any way we can.

- We have sponsored youth football teams
- Our stores regularly hold gardening talks and demonstrations to schools, clubs and groups.
- We hold regular FREE events on site including our incredibly popular Halloween Spectacular with its completely free games, competitions and massive free firework display.
- 7th Bicester Scout Group has held several charity car Washes at our site.
- Our garden centre has helped transform a waste land at Rainbow pre-school into a beautiful sensory & wildlife garden.
- We have help a massive 3 day fundraising even for Garth Daytime Support to help them keep their fantastic service running.
